George Manning Lifecare & Paulger Courts Village

A modern facility with caring environment for residents and their families

Welcome to George Manning Lifecare

At George Manning Lifecare we offer our residents a home away from home in a residential care environment catering for rest home and hospital care. The complex consists of a 65 bed hospital, 15 bed rest home and 34 independent living cottages.

George Manning Lifecare was opened on February 1972 by the Manchester Unity  Welfare Homes Trust Board, a non-profit making organisation. In 2006 the incumbent Manager, Robyn MacDonald, and her husband Peter purchased the operation. Peter and Robyn are experienced rest home operators and have a strong belief in providing high quality care in a cheerful and friendly environment.

We place an emphasis on staff education to ensure all staff are trained and experienced in delivering quality care to our residents. We value the importance of Registered Nurses leading our team to provide professional nursing care, and employ a high number of experienced RNs to ensure a consistent standard of care at all times.
