Telford Lifecare Melbourne Cup

It was a busy day on Tuesday at Telford Lifecare! Residents made ties and fascinators for the big Melbourne Cup race that afternoon, then enjoyed a visit at 2pm from the beautiful pelomino Sisco, along with his training partner Mia the dog. The residents had the opportunity to pat and feed Sisco before the winning horse made a celebration lap accompanied by his jockey Abbey (Telford’s administrator), and his owner Kerry (Telford’s Facility manager). Sisco’s trophy, a beautiful vintage tea cup, was proudly displayed for all to see.

While afterwards most of the residents then enjoyed entertainment by the very talented Marion Rivers, a cup of tea and some very posh nibbles, Sisco the horse made his way inside the facility to visit with some residents who were unable to make it outside. Sisco snuck around the back so that Kerry didn’t see and went visiting in the hospital wing! After all the excitement our residents still had the energy to sit back and watch the actual big race on T.V and all were on the edge of their seats to see who had won the Telford sweepstake!
