Appreciation for Broadview Volunteer Fay Chamberlain

Today is the perfect day for this bit of news from Broadview!

Recently, staff and residents celebrated their Volunteers by inviting them to a BBQ at the Village community centre. The sun shone, the wind dropped and all Canine Friends, Tinkers & Thinkers volunteers, Village residents, patient advocates and other volunteers along with the residents enjoyed the occasion.

Not all volunteers were able to make it however, one, in particular, was our longest serving Volunteer Fay Chamberlain who has played the piano once a week for over twenty years. She started coming to Broadview when her own father was a resident and had never left until ill health has forced her to give up the keys for now. Fay was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation, Vouchers and a beautiful Phalaenopsis Orchid at her home later in the afternoon, to honour her service. Fay, is renown as “bringing in the sunshine”, with her cheerfulness spreading to all she meets.
