This is the residents’ home, and we are here to help them live ’A Better Everyday’, independently, or with the care they deserve.
Judi took over as Manager at Carter House Lifecare and Village in June 2021.
After working in Care Homes early in her career, the last five years had seen her working for the Waikato and Lakes DHBs in Business Management, Planning and Funding.
“I’ve always worked in Health Care, but working in a Care Home is my happiest place, and I was so pleased to step back into that role,” says Judi.
Born and bred in Rotorua, Judi and her family moved to Auckland when she was young. “We’ve all made our way back to that area over the last ten years,” she says.
Judi tells us she has inherited a wonderful team, some who have been with Carter House for over 25 years, saying “I know I have big shoes to fill. Carter House Lifecare has a great reputation, so I’m very committed to maintaining that.”
Judi believes the staff, the community, and the homeliness are what makes Carter House so special. “This is the residents’ home, and we are here to help them live ’A Better Everyday’, independently, or with the care they deserve,” she says.
Judi loves getting to know the residents and hearing about their lives, saying “I’m so thankful every day I come to work.”
