Lois has been at Heritage for five and a half years and jokingly gets called the Manager for knowing everything that goes on. She believes that the way you accept your situation comes down to your attitude.

Lois has a lovely, happy disposition and enjoys having people coming to visit her. “I’ve got my church friends who come to visit and I listen to what’s going on in their lives and they like to know how I am. I’m very lucky to have a lot of support.”

She likes that you can choose what you want to do with your day. “Some activities, I cannot do, but you can do what you want to. I also like to read a lot, my daughter looks after my library books.”

Lois enjoys Heritage and finds her Care Home to be great. “I don’t think there are too many vacancies here – it’s pretty popular. I’ll be here until someone calls me home.” She also appreciates the support from the Caregivers. “The Caregivers are excellent, because they work so hard and they look after you very well.” She feels they help her to have 'A Better Everyday'. “I have fun with the Caregivers and we have a lot of chats… It’s great that I’ve got that.”
