Chiswick Park Lifecare are lucky enough to have an artist in residence! Ernest Papps Born in England, settled in Wellington in 1955. A keen nature lover and tramper, Ernest's oil paintings draw on the classical and traditional styles of the old masters. Ernest has spent the past years capturing the diverse scenery that is New Zealand, proudly celebrating our landscapes, history and culture.
Ernest has kindly donated his painting "Crossing the Ford" to Chiswick Park. It shows Mr Newman (Newman's Coach Services) transporting NZ Prime Minister Richard Seddon and his wife through the goldmining area.
Ernest and his wife Noeleen are both residents at Chiswick Park.
