Highfield Lifecare celebrated Alert Level 1 with a mini Olympic Games!
The day began with the Olympic torch and opening ceremony, before launching into an array of events including the gumboot throw, bubble blowing, a traffic cone wheelchair race, hungry hippos and balloon tennis. The wheel chair traffic cone race was keenly contested, while the gumboot throw unleashed some very innovative techniques, and the bubble competition ended up somewhat hijacked by a rouge water pistol. The hilarity soon continued with a rousing game of balloon tennis, which exposed hidden talents, and the final event, hungry hippos highlighted the competitive nature of both residents and staff. This was a great event and staff and residents had a wonderful time.
