Recently the team and residents at Somerfield Rest Home paused to reflect and remember the Christchurch earthquake that changed so many lives 13 years ago. Honouring those lost, while also expressing gratitude to the frontline workers and Civil Defence volunteers battling the recent Port Hills fire. Residents placed crosses on the peace tree, and staff paused at 12:51 pm for a moment of silence, sharing quake stories. Together, Somerfield stood resilient, united in remembrance and hope.
