Rotorua Respite Care at Heritage Lifecare
At Cantabria Lifecare & Village we provide both day programme and respite care. Our day programme offers a brief break for carers and their loved one alike, but sometimes a longer break is needed, and our respite care is available for up to two weeks. While this is preferably planned in advance we realise ‘things happen’ and we do provide emergency respite care when it’s required.
It’s well recognised that it’s important an at-home carer is able to maintain their physical, mental and emotional well-being. Caring for others can sometimes be challenging and even isolating. Often taking time out for themselves is an essential part of ensuring they are able to continue providing good care. It’s important to remember that the benefits of respite care are felt by both the carer and the cared for.
