Three years ago after suffering a major heart attack, Yvonne arrived at Heritage. “They brought me here, which is a good thing and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

In a room that looks out over the rose garden and with the aviary right outside, Yvonne tells us some of the things she loves about Heritage. “I take part in all the activities – cards, bingo and bowls. Karleena, the Activities Coordinator is wonderful although I do get in trouble for trying to pop the balloon at balloon volleyball.”

Yvonne thinks the staff here make all the difference. “The Care Home Manager has amazing ideas. She set up break-out areas for people who, unlike me, don’t necessarily want to hang out in the lounge. Rob sits there when he runs out of steam on his daily walk.”

For Yvonne “there’s always something to do here and that’s why I feel like I’m having 'A Better Everyday.”
