Karen joined Roseneath as Manager in April 2021. She had previously lived in Papamoa for 26 years before moving to Carterton to become Manager at Roseneath and live closer to her sister.

Karen says, “It’s the best move I have ever made. I was born and bred on a farm, and just love being part of a rural community again.” As a registered Nurse, Karen has had a long career in Aged Care, including owning and managing a small Rest Home in Tauranga.

“The minute I walked into Roseneath I felt the good energy here. It’s friendly, warm, and just feels like home,” says Karen. Having the best staff is so important, “They need to be genuinely caring, compassionate, and love working with the elderly. It’s got to come from the heart.” Karen says she’s sure others with fall in love when they step into Roseneath, just like she did.
