The staff are wonderful. They really respect their elders and I’d be happy to have any one of them in my family.
Noel has been through the wringer when it comes to injuries. After being sent home from war when he was shot in the leg and spending over two years in hospital recuperating, seven years ago he got backed into by a car and his injured leg was broken.
“I wasn’t confident to walk on it so I came here. I knew the place because my sister-in-law was here so I knew it was nice.” He says you really can’t fault it. “The staff are wonderful. They really respect their elders and I’d be happy to have any one of them in my family. They really are Florence Nightingales.”
He likes the fact that you get a lot of freedom to make your own choices. “I enjoy my own company and I can socialise when I want – I like to eat with Roy and the boys.”
To Noel, 'A Better Everyday' is sitting in his room – ‘the best one here’, doing the crossword and looking out on the beautiful courtyard. “I’m perfectly happy here, it’s a place where you feel completely safe and you don’t have to worry. It really is a solace.”
